Nintendo has confirmed that their successful Nintendo Switch console has sold 150.86 million units. Switch sales are still under the PlayStation 2’s lifetime sales, but the console is catching up!
In addition, the company has revealed the top selling games for the console.
Top 10 Best-Selling Nintendo Switch Games
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 67.35M
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons – 47.44M
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 35.88M
- Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 32.62M
- Super Mario Odyssey – 29.04M

- Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – 21.55M
- Super Mario Party – 21.10M
- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe – 18.06M
As expected, Mario Kart tops the charts, along with the usuals like Animal Crossing and Smash Bros. No big surprises.

The company also provided an update on recently released titles, as you can see below.
Recently Released Titles:
- Super Mario Party Jamboree- 6.17M
- Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – 3.91M
- Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door – 2.06M
- Mario & Luigi Brothership – 1.84M
- Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD – 1.80M
It’s disappointing that NintendoUp’s Game of the Year only sold 2.06 million units, but Super Mario Party Jamboree is doing exceptionally well. In fact, according to Pierre485, it’s the fastest-selling Mario Party game ever (well deserved).
Meanwhile, Nintendo has slashed hardware sales forecasts for the console. They’re now expecting the console to sell 11 million units for the year ending March 31st, 2025, which is 2.5 million below their original 13.5 million forecast.
Hmm…I wonder if that has anything to do with a new console releasing in a couple months…

Finally, Nintendo’s latest financial report has reconfirmed that Metroid Prime 4 Beyond and Pokemon Legends Z-A will indeed release in 2025 (hey, that’s this year). Well, that’s a relief.
