NintendoUp! launched December 1st, 2024. Formerly known as “NintendoPro” on YouTube, the channel owner (that’s me!) decided to start his own website after he discovered his previous favorite Nintendo website was bought out by IGN earlier in 2024.
The goal of this website is to be one of the only major independent Nintendo news websites—only with more personality and exclusive content. Basically, it’s the Nintendo website I would want to visit even if I didn’t own it.
Thank you for being part of this journey. I’m in this for the long haul.
Frequently Asked Questions
How are you qualified?
I started “NintendoPro.com” 1 all the way back in late-2010 (almost 15 years ago). On April 11, 2011, I started the “NintendoPro” YouTube channel. The only thing that has changed about the channel is its name.
I relaunched the YouTube channel with new videos in the summer of 2024, and there’s no slowing down now. In December 2024, I decided to take on IGN and all the websites it owns. This website is fully independent, and as unbiased as humanly possible. You can at least trust me more than the big sites (who allegedly2 receive bribes according to numerous sources across the web).
How does this site make money?
Currently, it does not make any money. In fact, it loses money. Eventually, we will probably need to add advertisements or start a Patreon. At the moment, however, the site is ad-free. Perhaps this is the only Nintendo news website in the world that’s completely ad-free.
Patrons will always and forever enjoy ad-free browsing (assuming we ever start a Patreon).
How can I support you?
Simply watch our YouTube videos. Our videos are currently monetised.
How can I contact you?
At the moment, just leave a comment on any article or YouTube video. When the site grows, I will add a contact form to this page. If you have an exclusive or private news tip, please still leave a comment (all comments are private until approved).
Can I join the staff to help you post news?
I’m looking for someone to post news during the day (in most popular America/Europe time zones). If you’re interested, simply leave a comment on any post and leave your email. Note that, if selected, this would be a volunteer position. There’s no ad revenue to pay anyone yet, and even if there was, it would be a while before we make enough to cover fees.
