Following an announcement earlier in 2025, the Nintendo Gold Points program has now concluded.
Players used to be able to earn gold points just by purchasing games on the eShop, which could then be used for a discount on future purchases. That is now no longer true.
As mentioned above, you can still redeem existing gold points you already have. However, you will not be able to earn more gold points from now on. Keep in mind gold points expire 12 months after they were obtained, so you best spend yours soon. You can check when your gold points expire here.
