Whew. There are too many Switch 2 leaks and rumors to post about individually, lest they clutter the site. For that reason, this Switch 2 Leak Roundup will collect all the rumors and leaks of today in one convenient spot. Let’s begin!
Skull & Co. Announce NeoGrip for Switch 2
Ever need a better grip on your Nintendo Switch? Well, you might experience something similar on your Switch 2. To that end, the accessory maker Skull & Co. is releasing a NeoGrip product for the upcoming console. Apparently, this is an updated version of their original product for the first Switch. Check out photos below.
Here’s what the original grip supposedly offers for customers:
- Ergonomic design – allows hours of play without fatigue.
- Access the kickstand – never hold back your console.
- Interchangeable grips – different designs to fit all hand sizes.
- Dockable – no need to remove when docking your console
We can assume this updated accessory will provide similar benefits.
“Accurate” Switch 2 Render
91mobiles has released their 3D render of the Switch 2, claiming it to be an accurate representation of the console.
Here are the specs, according to the leaker:
- 8.4-inch display
- entire unit (with Joy-Con) measures 271 x 116.4 x 31.4mm
- power and volume rocker on the right
- game card slot on the left
- 3.5mm headphone jack on the top
- USB Type-C port on top, next to the headphone jack
- bottom is a central dock point flanked by two guide pins
- two openings towards the sides, which are most likely speakers
- ‘U’ shaped kickstand on the back
Another Retailer Has Switch 2 SKUs
We already posted about how GameStop has Switch 2 accessories in their system. Now, a French retailer called FNAC has SKUs of what seems to be Switch 2 console bundles in their system (five in total). Interestingly, they also have a Take-Two game for Switch 2 in the system. This could be anything, and it could be something wild like GTA VI.
Switch 2 “Confirmed” Incompatible with OG Switch Dock
I already assumed this to be common sense, but Genki has confirmed to IGN from CES 2025 that the Switch 2 will not be compatible with the original Switch console’s dock. This is due to indentations designed to keep people from trying to shove the console into the dock. This is much like how the 3DS cartridges had a little nub to prevent people from sliding them into the original DS‘s cartridge slot.
On the brighter side, Genki assumes the original Switch Joy-Cons will be compatible with the Switch 2 via wireless. However, they won’t be able to connect physically to the Switch 2’s new magnetic Joy-Con system.
That’s all for today’s Switch 2 Leak Roundup! See you in another 30 minutes (joking…I hope).
