Nintendo has revealed an updated Switch 2 Pro Controller for the Switch 2 console. One of the biggest changes is the headphone jack at the bottom. While some people may not care, it’s actually very convenient in other controllers, and it won’t be any different here.
Another big change is the “smooth-gliding sticks.” Per Tetsuya Sasaki, the general manager of Nintendo’s Switch 2 development unit:
They’re calling them “smooth-gliding sticks,” we made efforts to reduce the feeling of bumping when you tilt them. In fact, there’s been a long-running project at Nintendo with the grand ambition of developing the “pinnacle of all controllers,” and we’ve been researching it hard for a long time now.
Another welcome improvement is the additional buttons on the rear, dubbed the GL and GR buttons. These are for remapping inputs.

Of course, the new controller will also feature the C-Button for the new Game Chat functionality.
The controller will likely cost $79.99 USD, and will probably launch on or near June 5th with the Switch 2 console.
