A developer with a good reputation on the Install Base forums is claiming that the Switch 2 will be more powerful than many gamers are expecting.
In response to a forum user suggesting that the Switch 2 wouldn’t get AAA games (high-budget, graphically intensive games from big publishers) and the console would be weak, the Switch 2 developer with the username “Matt” responded:
It’s not. Both Nintendo and third parties see Switch 2 AAA titles as a big potential growth driver.
The hardware is very capable.
He later stated:
I’m not at all saying it’ll get everything always, but I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised.
The Switch 2 will be revealed sometime early next year, likely in January 2025. We should see just how powerful it is soon with some game trailers. I’m expecting a lot of naysayers to be shocked…although for some, there will never be enough power in a game system.
Some people even think the PlayStation 5 Pro, which costs nearly a thousand dollars (and comes without a screen unlike the Switch 2), is not powerful enough. Those people are…nevermind.
There’s no pleasing everyone. But how about you? Are you pleased with this news? Leave a comment with your thoughts.
