Almost every week, Nintendo adds a soundtrack to their Android/iOS application Nintendo Music. On December 24th, the company added Super Mario 64, and now after a holiday break Nintendo is back at it again with one of the most underappreciated soundtracks in the Donkey Kong franchise.
You can listen to NintendoUp’s Top 10 favorite tunes from Donkey Kong Country 3 in the video above. However, that video contains some of the tracks from the Game Boy Advance version (which was a little more than a port). That version had an entirely new soundtrack by series veteran David Wise (the composer of Aquatic Ambience among most other DKC music).
The original SNES version of Donkey Kong Country 3, however, was the only DKC game prior to 2010’s Returns to be entirely composed by someone other than David Wise. That’s right, Eveline Fischer composed the music to DKC 3, and the soundtrack has a different vibe as a result.
The soundtrack is well worth a listen if you’ve neglected it up until now:
On the Nintendo Music app, there are 40 tracks for a total runtime of 1 hour and 14 minutes. You’ll need an active Nintendo Switch Online paid membership to access the application.
Check This Out: Although the title is similar, the game has no relation to the Pokemon anime song.
