Excitement has been building among fans for the anticipated release of Pokemon Legends Z-A, the next major entry in the Pokémon franchise.
While official updates remain scarce, a possible leak may have revealed the game’s release date. According to Twitter/X user @pory_leeks, an Amazon listing for the game temporarily displayed a shipping date of August 15, 2025, before it was later revised to a placeholder date of December 31, 2025.
We can hope this game releases soon, but frankly I’d rather the developers take their time to avoid another Scarlet and Violet situation.

Perhaps we’ll get more details on Pokémon Legends Z-A on February 27th (the original release date for Red/Green in Japan). That’s because it’s “Pokemon Day,” and a “Pokemon Presents” presentation is typically unleashed on YouTube full of announcements. A recent leak has seemingly confirmed another “direct” for this year, too.
What do you think the release date will be? Let me know in the comments below.
PR: An ambitious new entry to the Pokémon video game series, will be released simultaneously worldwide on Nintendo Switch in 2025. An exciting new adventure awaits players within Lumiose City, where an urban redevelopment plan is underway to shape the city into a place that belongs to both people and Pokémon.
