In just 24 hours from this post, the Switch 2 Direct will take place on Nintendo’s YouTube channel (at 6 AM PDT on April 2nd). The presentation will be a massive 60+ minutes in length.
What Will Be Revealed?
Nobody knows what will be revealed except that the presentation should feature Switch 2 console information and game reveals. Mario Kart 9 (tentative title) was already unveiled, so we can assume it’ll appear at the event.
Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 [will offer] a closer look at Nintendo Switch 2.
Nintendo’s official website
Nintendo already held a (rather mediocre, if we’re being honest) Nintendo Direct for original Nintendo Switch games. There, the company revealed Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream and Rhythm Heaven Groove. The new Tomodachi Life has been trending highly on Japanese Twitter, moreso than the Switch 2 system itself!
Switch 2 Direct Hype Forecast
It remains to be seen if fans will get more excited for the Switch 2 console after the Nintendo Direct in just under 24 hours. The quality of this Direct lies solely on what games are revealed. It’s all about the games.
Xbox and Sony often rely on hardware without games to back them up, but Nintendo can’t do that. The Switch 2 is not a powerhouse compared to the PS5. It needs games, games, and more games. I hope that’s the message of this upcoming Direct.
