Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Orlando is scheduled to open on May 22nd, 2025. That’s fairly soon, and until then construction is underway at the park. As you can see in the above image, the park is taking shape, but there’s also something particularly noteworthy hidden in a small portion of the photo.
In the lower right section of the image, you can spot an ongoing construction project for one of the park’s stores. Notably, this shop features stained-glass windows, and one in particular stands out.
At the center of the design is Link. Apparently, this marks the first official inclusion of The Legend of Zelda in any Super Nintendo World park. Interestingly, the Orlando location is leading the way in bringing Zelda content into the fold, though the reason behind this is unclear.
I’ve always wanted a Zelda themed area of the park, but any Zelda representation would be nice to have. While a full-fledged attraction would be ideal, this stained-glass window is at least a promising first step.
At the moment, Super Nintendo World should probably be renamed to Super Mario World. That’s because only Mario, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong attractions are present at the park. Maybe that’ll soon change?
