Thank you for reading this NintendoUp.com website update. In this post, we’ll detail the state of the website and outline changes going forward.
Website Changes
In short, NintendoUp.com has decided (for the time being) to focus more on original content rather than post every little news story. Major news will still be posted (with unique opinions), but I feel my time could be better spent on original content like The Best Zelda Games series (a new video just dropped, which you can watch below).
Want to Help Post News?
If I can get a volunteer news poster, the site will resume posting minor news stories. If you’d like to volunteer, click here to contact us. If nobody volunteers, so be it. There’s already many Nintendo “news” sites, and with the advent of the Nintendo Today app, I think original and exclusive content is far more valuable.
The YouTube Channel
There will be no changes to the YouTube channel’s upload frequency (at least one video per week on average). The YouTube algorithm is killing my channel with garbage views, but this isn’t unique to just me, so I still intend to post videos…for some reason.
Reminder: YouTube is like a charity for small channels. It takes forever to make quality videos, and they make basically no money and receive little engagement. Keep that in mind. I would never recommend starting a YouTube channel, but maybe I’m insane and enjoy making videos.
The Forum
The forum is still up, but I’ve hidden the link on the menu. This is because the site doesn’t have enough traffic yet for the forum to be all that useful to show. I recommend leaving comments on posts (like this one), or on our YouTube channel, if you’d like to participate in the community.
