Nintendo’s official technical specifications for the Switch 2 have unfortunately revealed the console will feature a rather weak 2 to 6.5 hours of battery life via its 5220 mAh Lithium ion battery. The original Switch, when it first launched, featured a 2.5-6.5 hour battery life by comparison.
It’ll also take about 3 hours to charge from sleep mode, which is a bit long.
Comparison to Other Switch Models
The OLED Switch improved battery life with 4.5 to 9 hours, while the original Switch eventually received a hardware update to match the same battery life as the OLED. The Switch Lite had a 3 to 7 hour battery life.
