SEGA has revealed new details about the movie-themed DLC for Sonic X Shadow Generations. First of all, for those who don’t know, the DLC is not free and will set you back $6 USD. It’ll release December 12th, eight days before the Sonic movie on December 20th.
What’s exciting is that the voice of Shadow will be none other than Keanu Reeves himself. Because of that, the voice will only be available in English.
There will be two acts in the Tokyo mission, some challenges, and perhaps a boss fight. You won’t be able to play as the movie version of Shadow in any other part of the game (in other words, the base game will be unchanged). Check out the new details from SEGA below:
1. The voice for the movie version of Shadow is only available in English.

*Even if the audio language is set to something other than “English,” it will be played in English.
2. The “Movie version of Shadow” will only appear in the Acts and Challenge Acts added in the “Movie DLC.”
*The Acts, Challenges, and White Spaces in the main story cannot be played with the “Movie version of Shadow.” Also, please note that the stages added in the movie DLC will not be compatible with online mode rankings.

When transported to an unknown dimension, Shadow must race through the streets of modern-day Shibuya to defeat the forces of G.U.N. In this DLC, take on a new look as Shadow and play through a unique level inspired by the new movie, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, featuring the voice of Keanu Reeves.
In SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS, play as Shadow in a brand-new story campaign featuring never-before-seen abilities that prove why he’s known as the Ultimate Life Form! Speed through iconic stages from Shadow’s history, discover hidden secrets in an expansive hub world, and unlock new powers to take on Black Doom and save the world.
Will you be paying the entry fee of $6 USD for this seemingly short DLC? Oh, you wanna know if I will? Probably!
