Original Story (February 7th, 2025): The 45th Maximus Cup for Tetris 99 presents players with an exciting opportunity to earn a unique theme inspired by Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. To achieve this, players must successfully earn 100 points before the end of the event. The event will start on February 14, 2025, and conclude on February 18, 2025 in Japan.
In North America, the event begins February 13th at 11 PM PT and ends February 17th at 10:59 PM PT.
Nintendo recently released a free demo for the game which everyone can download now.
