Andy Robinson, a journalist for VGC, is claiming that next week’s Game Awards will be “very big.” Another man was quoted as saying, “They can’t keep getting away with this…”
In all honesty, I skipped last year’s awards and I don’t regret it. That said, now that I have a Nintendo website to maintain, I’ll be watching the show so you don’t have to. Not all of the gaming award shows over the past two decades have been terrible, mind you, but all of them have been overlong and overstuffed with commercials and boring games that never come to Nintendo systems anyway (and, no, that’s not why they’re boring).
When are the Game Awards?
December 12 at 4:30pm PT/7:30pm ET.
How long will it be?
Roughly 3 hours…but it’ll feel like an eternity.
Still, maybe this year the Game Awards will be different. And if it’s not, I can add Andy Robinson to my list of names to never trust (right alongside Michael Pachter, Geoff Keighley, and Bobby Kotick).
