According to the official Stardew Valley website, the mega-hit indie game has now sold over 41 million units globally. That absolute massive number makes the creator rich as heck, but also outdoes the Nintendo Switch titans Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (roughly 35 million sales) and Breath of the Wild (roughly 32 million sales) to name just a couple.
Granted, those two games cost roughly 5x as much as Stardew Valley to purchase, but it’s still impressive! The game shifted 7.6 million copies on Switch alone since its launch in October 2017.
As of December 2024, Stardew Valley has sold over 41 million copies across all platforms, with over 26 million copies sold on PC, and 7.9 million copies on the Nintendo Switch.
Are you into Stardew Valley? I’ve been meaning to get into it, but everytime I try, I tend to get a little distracted and go do something else.
But I guess I’ve contributed at least three sales to the game, since I’ve purchased it on my phone, Switch, and Steam Deck. You’re welcome, rich guy.
